Born in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, Paul Chapman is a talented drummer and percussionist, currently based in Poland.
From a family of musicians, Paul studied percussion at the National Conservatory and has a solid background in Venezuelan folkloric rhythms, Latin styles, rock, fusion, and pop genres.
Since the age of 12, Paul has been a full percussionist, drummer, and backing vocals musician, with drums as his main instrument.
Musical Journey and Inspirations
Paul’s musical journey began at a young age, surrounded by family members playing Venezuelan typical music during gatherings.
His passion for rock music and Latin beats has been a significant influence on his career. Paul considers himself a versatile drummer and percussionist, capable of performing anything from heavy rock to Latin folkloric styles.
His collaborations with professional Latin musicians from countries like Cuba, Colombia, Mexico, Chile, and Brazil showcase his diverse musical prowess.
Notable Achievements
Since moving to Poland in 2017, Paul’s participated in national talent shows like Poland’s Got Talent 2021 and won two rock competitions with Moonvalley Band in 2022.
He also opened the 2023 Europe tour for the prestigious UK rock band, The Subways.
Recently, Paul completed his second European tour with The Five Points Gang Blues Band from London as a session and tour drummer.
